Overview

A Shari’a-compliant financing product that enables employed doctors to obtain the required training in specializations that will allow them to become either specialists or consultants, thereby increasing their opportunities to attain lucrative employment opportunities and increased wages upon completing their studies.

Features

• Finance up to a maximum of BD 30,000
• Tenor of up to 9.5 years
• Grace period up to 2.5 year
• Coverage of 100% of profit amount in period by Labor Fund “Tamkeen”
• Labor Fund “Tamkeen” support 50% of the Profit amount capped at 4%; whichever is lower

Study Duration

• Paid leave: The duration of study can exceed 2.5 years
• Unpaid leave: The duration of study should not exceed 2.5 years

Eligibility Criteria

• NHRA Licensed Employed Bahraini Doctors.
• Permanent Employee and remain employed and registered in GOSI during study period

Requirements

• Proof of identity (ID Card or Passport)
• Salary Transfer Letter
• Salary Certificate
• No Objection Letter from the Employer confirming unpaid leave and resumption of role once program completed
